Terrifier 2 2022
One thing I particularly liked about the first Terrifier was that it was white balanced to neutral. This one had a peach/teal filter over the whole thing, which I didn't hate, but persistent color filters are pretty overdone at this point in film. I guess it went with the synthwave vibe introduced at the beginning, which was maybe already a couple years out of date by 2022, but as a fan of The Midnight, I still enjoyed it regardless.

I'm surprised I liked this as much as I did. This movie gets the right balance of gore and camp that you get to witness gratuitous violence without feeling Upset about it. Like the Hannibal TV show, but less serious/horny. It also succeeds in making the Creepy Clown Aesthetic actually pretty creepy without slipping into cringe territory. Good shit!
