i used to tear up every 5 minutes knowing the ending but this time i actually got through the first 90 minutes without that. several scenes still cause my skin to shiver, seemingly more now than ever before. reading the book helped to appreciate the subtlety in acting. makes sense why i never got around re-watching this these past 2 years: it's all too romantic, and i envy it for it. is the grass really that green? should i only love if it feels this good? fuck me, blessed be the mystery. cue the soundtrack
