Felt like an extremely thinly veiled wish fulfillment movie that just mashed together familiar storylines to get you to cheer for it. The climactic scene is literally the entire town coming together to cheer on the nerd against the completely irredeemable, casually cruel for no reason bully who only exists to antagonize him and then the nerd gets one over him by punching him in the chest using his science brain^tm. The romance subplot is equally as cliched and forced.…
