  When Longlegs works, it truly works. It oozes style, and each frame of every shot is meticulously designed. Its portrayal of satanism brings an eeriness that is less about scares and more about making you uncomfortable—really uncomfortable.

  However, when Longlegs does not work, it becomes cliché. While Act 1 of the film feels revolutionary, it fails to maintain this freshness throughout. Soon, it starts falling into the traps of its genre. Some jumpscares feel trailer-like, and the scary shadow lurkers…

  Paris, Texas is beautiful. You can tell Wim Wenders poured his soul into this film. His view of Americana and the human stories within it is colorful, even in the brownest of deserts. It feels like a warm blanket after you've been drenched in heavy rain.
