Complicated thoughts on this one.
On the one hand incredibly fun and in-your-face.
On the other I agree with the critiques that this whole movie had the POV of a man staring at Ani without really getting to know her.
But then also I think that this was all intentional? Like, the movie is called Anora even though she prefers Ani, and the poster just shows her seductively looking at the camera.
But then again the finale, to me, seems…
A bit messy but really fun!
Every connection was very obvious but I think that that was a great decision for the target audience, and I personally loved all the little cuts! Very engaging

Abi, girl :(
I know you come from the stage, and on stage you're a wonder!
but ya gotta know when to tone it down when the camera is close to you, or else the theatricality will not be believable.
And where's the twist! The reward!
I feel like the movie is nothing more than the premise!
The take on vampirism and food also took power away from the idea of vampirism as a curse I think.
I really look forward to your next work, because there's a lot of soul in here! But it just needs quite some refining and distilling.
Cried way too much over the humble beauty of it, and the cruelties they've survived.
Wish I was there
