Complicated thoughts on this one.
On the one hand incredibly fun and in-your-face.On the other I agree with the critiques that this whole movie had the POV of a man staring at Ani without really getting to know her.
But then also I think that this was all intentional? Like, the movie is called Anora even though she prefers Ani, and the poster just shows her seductively looking at the camera.
But then again the finale, to me, seems…

but ya gotta know when to tone it down when the camera is close to you, or else the theatricality will not be believable.
And where's the twist! The reward!
I feel like the movie is nothing more than the premise!
The take on vampirism and food also took power away from the idea of vampirism as a curse I think.I really look forward to your next work, because there's a lot of soul in here! But it just needs quite some refining and distilling.
