    It's about the BOOKS.
    You don't UNDERSTAND.
    IT'S BOOKS.

    Iconic performances. Breathtaking animation.
    The shift between live action and animation is so cool and smooth and satisfying, I wish more media experimented with that style.
    That's the point here, I suppose.
    This film is very much a grand experiment. It's weird in all the best ways.
    I love it so much, and have for twenty years, but it only gets better with age.
    Like a good book. Or wine.

    It never ceases to amaze me. How nuanced and careful storytelling can elevate the material.
    It's especially unusual as a prequel that very well handles itself as a standalone affair; you don't need to watch the show, not before or after, to fully enjoy and appreciate the movie here.
