  even greater proof that at the end of the day, we are all just deeply afraid. truly, miyazaki has been painting timeless narratives since 1984. more than ever, we should all aspire to be more like nausicaa; find the strength in empathy, compassion and resisting violence. last frame has me in a chokehold honestly, what a beautiful illustration of hope...

  wow, just wow. i don't normally gravitate towards the sci-fi genre but its blend with romantic drama here was phenomenal. erasure of (painful) memories is far from being a novel concept in film, but 'eternal sunshine of the spotless mind' elevates the idea to a whole new visual landscape. from the fluid camera blur, manic time-lapses, temperamental lighting hues and surreal special effects (2004 cgi forgiven); it felt like i was suspended in a dream-like state, whilst simultaneously seized by…
