How can a film feel so minimalistic yet SO deeply sensual and intense? The cinematography, colors, and framing of every scene were incredibly beautiful (especially Maggie Cheung in her different of outfits!!). I loved how Wng Kar wai played with the audience's expectations, especially in the scene where it seems like Mrs. Chan is confronting her husband only for it to be revealed that it’s actually Mr. Chow, helping her rehearse the situation beforehand.

Dìdi (弟弟) 2024
The fight scene between Dìdi and his mother made me choke thinking about all the harsh words I threw at my mum back then. But that's just how teenagers are which made the ending so satisfying for me: growing up and out of that teenager phase is understanding that your mum is just another person too. I loved how in the end Dìdi finally seemed to have realized the true meaning of the question "Have you eaten yet?"
