  I had not expected this film to be as good as it was. In an age of mass-produced animation films with little to no impact, Puss in Boots: The Last Wish was a breath of fresh air! The story was excellent, and the characters were unique and thought out. The sound design was quite interesting as well, from Death's iconic whistle to the music and the audio effects during action scenes.
  Standout: Death (Voice Actor: Wagner Moura). A great example of a well-written antagonist. This character elated an already amazing film to a new level of excitement.

  I'm usually not one to mash out reviews immediately after watching something, but this film deserves it. I didn't find it heartbreaking at all, rather, I found the story incredibly mature, and thoughtful. Phenomenal directing from a debutant. The acting was equally incredible.
  This one will stick on as a happy memory for me. Thanks, film!
