Horizon: An American Saga – Chapter 1 2024
I thought this was an enjoyable film for the first installment of a series. They did a good job of setting up exposition without a need for a larger backstory. The landscape shots alone are worth watching the movie for. Characters all seem interesting and curious to see how their stories intersect. Im very conflicted about rating this movie. On one hand it is a very visually appealing movie with great cinematic landscape shots and enjoyed the score. I did find some of the cinematic additions particularly cool, specifically the character design of the Green Knight, and the ending in which we are given a glimpse into Gawains future if he does not grow the courage to face death.
