The Night House 2020
A screenplay that is in far over its head put a damper on what was otherwise a pretty interesting horror-mystery. Solid direction from David Bruckner, a dread-filled atmosphere, impressive editing & sound — resulting in some reeeally effective jump scares….still recovering tbh….. — and an unbelievable Rebecca Hall performance. Seriously, unbelievable! That script though….scene writing ranged from average to ridiculous, story as a whole pretty convoluted and gotcha-ey.
