What makes Scavengers Reign special (to me) is that it reignites a largely absent, primordial fear of nature.
There are things in what I'll call the "outside" world that I suppose scare me, but not in the truest sense. These things elicit caution, demand awareness and conscientiousness, but I don't think there's anything that I'm properly paralyzed by when I think of the outdoors or nature.

One way I approach appreciation of film, or art in general is to understand who it was written for. What audience is this trying to appease to. What kind of person enjoys this. By exploring that, in an attempt to empathize with that person/audience (even if the film is created solely for the creator themselves), I can hope to better appreciate or enjoy the film, when maybe I wouldn't be able to otherwise.
