The special features interview with the director might have put it best -- who doesn't want to revisit their relationships with hindsight on their side? It's especially moving to see a character like Adam do this. You can see how hurt he is by his parents, how much he loves them, and how much he misses them. Honestly it's a little saccharine but the movie is so good that I don't mind!

I said "I hate David Lynch" to Jane during this, I'm pretty sure when the lady who was singing at Silencio collapsed. But later my friend Steve was telling me his theory which parts of the movie were dreams and whose dreams they were and it started to make some more sense.
But yeah, as someone who likes neatly tied bows, this wasn't the jam.

Trying to give this another whirl. When I last reviewed, I was frustrated with The Menu because some parts were too ambiguous for my philistine mind. Well, Sanctuary was a nice counter and if you take the ending at surface level, it all wraps up nicely.
This shit is horny, man. It's like the opposite of SSRI's. And yet there's a lot of Therapy in it. They call all of their hookups "sessions," they talk about progress, they talk about…
