Good movie for having to wait a decade.
It’s an understandably long movie too with great setup and execution of backstory and character building. Unfortunately I’m my eyes it doesn’t deliver on the villain plot the way the first movie did. It’s a great story with great action scenes but the film’s antagonists just don’t have the same gravity as the first Avatar. Nonetheless it’s a great and heart wrenching movie that I would absolutely watch again.

Super slow. Gal Gadot doesn’t get murdered until what feels like halfway through the movie and I called who the killer was after she died so without a real twist later in the film it became bland. It’s an entertaining watch but not in the tier of modern who-done-it mystery movies that I would put knives out and glass onion in. I just have to remind myself to not break it down and enjoy the plot and character motives no matter how basic or slow the movie seems.

I’m not sure how to feel about the Heidi Gardner and Adam Sandler sexual tension because he scored a baddie in Queen Latifah but wants to throw it all away for some fuck me eyes but I digress.

A solid 3.5 for the movie alone. Great cinematography that catches the flash and spark of pro and street basketball but Hustle hits a special part of my heart.
Watching this I can’t help but think back to when I was younger…

Heavily underrated Tarantino film. The Intro monologue is more entertaining than 70% of the Hateful 8. The “Mr Blonde” act is a great show of storytelling, reveal, and dialogue. Last yet foremost GREAT MUSIC! With a great mix of foreground and background.
