In short, the film is a hot and shallow mess. Even though this film starts to connect the dots Phase 4 had been laying out, this film as an individual film does not really work well- The story is a confusing, overwhelming mixture of classic, but not that well made Rebellion to the Oppressor story, A half-baked villain whose Charisma falls apart by the time they reach final act(Deux-ex-Formica!), foreshadowing of "What is next" for MCU, and a family story that does not really shine well in this overwhelmingly dense,…

A fun and entertaining film full of good action sequences and excellent visual effects, even though the writing at some corners: two of the characters in the story(Atom Smasher and Cyclone) not really contributing to the overall storyline, villain with basically cliche and flat character(Sabbak), and annoying mother-and-son protagonists drops the appeal of viewers, Dr Fate's surprisingly well written character(With excellent and creative action sequences!) raises the appeal of the whole game. Even though I would have liked Tess Adam(Black Adam)'s story to be much less of light-hearted, overall it was a pretty enjoyable movie, though I am not sure if I can solidly recommend it.
To say the least, it is a dense, really fast paced movie.
