Woah just so beautiful, so so beautiful.
All the smallest observations so carefully crafted, my highlights were the two female shoppers stepping in time together and the magnet.
I felt like I was watching a photo book brought to life. However this strength was also somewhat of a distraction… I never felt like I was able to as fully be in the story. It was affecting, but not to the degree I would have hoped, so something was just missing the mark for me.

Party Girl 1995
Felt like quite a clunky film, however there was more for me to enjoy than not.
I LOVED that there were black, gay, trans and immigrant characters who were comedic without being the butt of the joke. For a 90’s film to be inclusive without feeling the need to belittle is unfortunately refreshing, compared even to some of today’s films. Felt like an accurate representation of city life / party culture.
