This was such a delicious and heady mashup of rom-com and horror. So much to love right from the casual and perfectly delivered "what's up" to the ambiguous yet extremely satisfying ending. It is everything I wish for the women in "Promising Young Woman".

I expected greatness and this one delivered in a uniquely, special yet familiar way. There were so many new places, textures and perspectives built into a brilliant story. The core tale was impeccable—with carefully-handled fridging—working as myth, prayer, and touchstone. Plot progression so fucking earned. Badassery unameza tu. Emotional but just shy of being overwrought. Solid, solid work. Plus so many great shots and moments of homage. The trans sub-plot so tactful and well-reasoned. Spinning saris and nuanced characters. This must be John Wick'd. We demand it.
