Hmm! This was visually stunning but the script mannnnnn
Taking a story of police brutality in the suburbs of Paris and diluting it into a spectacle was incredibly poor. Having a lead be part of that same system as well…..BORING. This really had the chance to tell the truth, these young kids wanted justice.
Oh and don’t even get me started on the ending… so disappointed.

The ringing....
Oh this hit the sweet spot for me, losing the life you know and all the coping mechanisms that kept you going, realising that you have to start from ground zero (again). Watching Ruben essentially go through the stages of grief from mourning his previous life makes the acceptance stage so much more beautiful to witness.Outstanding performance from Riz Ahmed.
