Rain Man 1988
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
This might be one of the worst movies I have ever seen. The first hour is absolutely grotesque, your just watching Tom Cruise bully his neurodivergent brother. It is soooo uncomfortable to watch.
Then, "what we've all been waiting for", the big turnaround happens. However, Charlie (Tom Cruise) is still an asshole but not about money anymore. He now decides he is solely entitled to the custody of his brother.
Just a disgusting movie about entitlement and complete lack of empathy.

Crossing 2024
A very refreshing way of shining light on a social phenomenon that carries so much weight. Contrasting village and city in this manner results in a beautifull way of showing how transgender norms can be accepted. Still so much work to do but heartwarming to see a movie which doesn't just show hate towards it.
I also love Istanbul and was thrilled to see so many places I still recognized from visiting it 10 years ago :)

Super super super incredibly amazing.
The pacing of this movie is the best I've ever seen. Every slow scene is justified, and so is every action packed one.
Every single new scene is just exciting because anything could happen.
The random squeezing scene might be one of the funniest scenes ever.
And also, the main storyline perfectly dances around parts that could become a drag, like will he leave or not, or does she love him or not. But simultaneously it gives them just enough attention so you can understand the relationships.
