  Fuuckkk man. I am down to bottom shattered and sinking and descending through every each layer of desolation. FUCK. I feel fucking bruised everywhere. The astoundingly well handled psychosexual trauma and psychogenic elements???The sheer brilliance in crafting the juxtaposition of the psychodynamic development of both characters???  Araki  you are so so special. I am highkey enthralled by this bro’s body of work. FDUUUUUUCCCKXKKK. I need lorazepam after this.

  Not gonna lie, at first watch I was extremely confused (i am still) but as I went over to check Ballard's original work, this ended up being nothing but a pure fucking plot blueballing and the thematic premise doesnt even justify the weirdness and the emotional detachment both between and within the characters. Not even the supposed interplay between the machinery and the sex lands. I hear the breaking-taboo steps, infact I have the predilection for such concept but nonetheless…

  I’m still crying thinking about this. The idea behind the plotline was simple, yet enthralling. Humankind is nefarious, hypocrite, status-seeking, covetous and crude, and throughout the film you can’t help but become awfully conscious of it, whilst finding the opposite within: a true syzygy. I loved how Lynch didn’t choose to include the blind woman in Victor Hugo’s original storyline. Also big shoutout to the Italian final boss cinephile bro who took over the mic for a good thirty minutes to appreciate Lynch.
