Perfect Blue is a movie that gets better the more times you watch it. On a first viewing there are many shots and parts that can't be fully enjoyed without seeing the film before. Technically speaking the film is excellent the uses of single color backdrops to certain scenes ups the intensity along with the music cues. The ending while abrupt is open to interpretation. The themes of the movie are more pressing then ever before despite the fact that the movie came out over 20 years ago.
