Ghost in the Shell 1995
I don’t think this 1995 film’s vision of 2029 will quite match up with ours, but it definitely poses questions that I’d argue are even more relevant today.
It’s a film about technology intersecting with human consciousness.
I wouldn’t call it slow, but it dances between action and philosophical musings. I would’ve liked more plot progression and less heavy handed exposition. The story doesn’t really pick up until the second half.

The Nightmare Before Christmas 1993
Finally got around to watching this Christmas-Halloween classic, after having only played the Kingdom Hearts 2 version.
The visuals still hold up well after 30 years. Including the iconic character designs and worlds.
I don’t love musicals, but I still enjoyed it. It’s a short watch too, which makes it digestible without getting repetitive, however that means character development is pretty minimal.
Overall, if it interests you at all, it’s worth the watch.
