I thought FlyLo (who is a genius) would be giving us Mandy in space, but this was closer to Returnal of the Black Rainbow in the Dead Space Protocol. I’m not gonna lie this is a hoot and a holler. It’s absolutely ridiculous and it’s dumb as hell but it’s a total blast. Laugh out loud hilarious from the absurd writing coupled with spontaneous bursts of over the top people explosions. If you’re ok with a film not being a cinematic masterpiece and can have fun with something for just being so unserious you’ll enjoy this. Plus Theo James puts on a genuinely good performance .
The best part of this movie, and honestly a reason alone to watch it, is the score. It’s so bizarre and unique and incredibly effective.
