This was an enjoyable watch. I liked the realistic characters and dynamics between them, the setting overall felt grounded. However, Ladybird was ungrateful and angsty without charm. I understand where these feelings come from 100%, but she could have been less self-centered fs. At least she recognized these qualities and mostly reconciled with the people in her life by the end. Her visit to that NYC church, call to her parents, and description of driving in Sacramento were nice, full-circle moments.
