  It's hard to talk about this sort of film with out sounding like an asshole. Also I'm not really a pop fan so maybe this just isn't for me.   I rewatch this movie every year or so and it never fails. It's insane how much of the confusion and paranoia that we've come to know about the cold war era they were able to fit into a kids movie. Let alone tell a fully fleshed story of using meaningful relationships and temperence to ignore your programming (probably not something we'll see again in another movie btw)
