  Blue Velvet 1986

  There exists a depravity within each of us: a perverted ugly figure that hides beneath out gilded purity. But the robins will come eventually. Although in saying such a thing, we imply a need for them to come. 

  Maybe Van Gogh was a genius, and maybe he was also mad. And maybe those things are mutually exclusive. And maybe it doesn’t matter because his ear was still gone by the end of it.

  Blue Velvet is sick in the most demented ways - the ways we are just as sick to indulge ourselves in. 

  I loved every second of it.
