    Cute. Lots of sweet nods to the first film, and very heartfelt a lot of the time. V glad they dropped the weight fixation, though I am baffled as to how hard it would’ve been for her to run a brush, or even her fingers, thru her hair in the morning. 

    The least realistic part, of course, was meeting a younger guy on a dating app who said he was into older women and didn’t JUST want a one night…

    It WAS a takedown of Belle Gibson, so I was still very much seated.

    While a lot of this was really relateable and good, I had a hard time understanding the WHY behind the recreations behind things like the tori amos video and the my so-called life scene. While I suppose I can understand the therapeutic process of recreations of things you experienced as a teenager again as an adult, the former just felt self-indulgent. Also, the BTS/breaking of the 4th wall did take away from it a bit. 

    The more powerful moments were with real life Joel, JoAnn, and Caroline’s family- and I wish those had been more of a primary focus, rather than feeling secondary.

    Never once did Renee apologize, question if she went too far, or display any insight whatsoever into why what she did was so egregious. 

    (Also, if she really wanted to raise her black children in a more diverse area, there’s this thing called “moving”.)

    She spent the entire documentary taking zero accountability for anything. Everything just.. happened to her and then I guess “god” was the real scapegoat. 

    Kelsey was also pretty atrocious, still centering herself while supposedly teaching white…
