Why did everyone hype this up to me for years I’m so bummed. I like my memories of being a terrified kid watching the Nicholas Cage one better. The Wicker Man that only exists in my head is really cool and all vibes actually.

Black excellence trope, angry black woman trope AND she was a cop which made the being angry part cool I guess. Every character besides Mickey felt like a cardboard cut out. One of those movies that doesn’t feel real, like those ads on the little TV screen at the gas station. I spaced out for most of it.
