I saw Escape From The Planet of The Apes when I was 6 with my Dad. That was all it took, in many ways.

I loved this film. Vandross had the most amazing voice, achieving solo recording success much later than others, and showed a patience and perseverance that impressed. This film was cut professionally and smoothly, and the interviews were relevant and sobering. Just terrific.

Not a better film based on pure star ensemble or generational representation. Holy smokes is this film charming.

I liked it. Wahlberg and Berry have a little chemistry together and tether this film from drifting off into the realm of forgetting-it-quickly. Really strong 4. Almost gave it another half star. The movie of 2024 Summer. Good story, well shot, some fresher stories, a frightening first 15 minutes.

Solid performances from Daisy Edgar-Jones and Glen Powell. Terrific pace. I could go on, but it’s a great popcorn summer rollick.
