The Bling Ring lacks the substance of previous Sofia Coppola films, and that may be the point. Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol 2011
I have always loved MI and 2 was the only one I didn't really care for.
Fun action movie. Brad Bird is fantastic at delivering scenes that make you feel like you could fall out of your seat. Even when I thought it was getting a little cheesy (even for MI) I couldn't help but feel excited. The comedy was funny and Simon Pegg stole a few scenes.
For someone that is an action star in his own right, Jeremy Renner managed to work really well on screen, makes me wonder if they are thinking of him starring in the future.

I read the book, and watched the first film version.
This is simple for me. The book didn't translate that well to American English. And the previous film (while good) was basically made for TV.
I was excited to see Hollywood remake this film and I'm not sure anyone but Fincher would have done such a good job. This is a great film even if it isn't how I imagined it.
