  The Plumber 1979

  I thought this was gonna be a fairly straightforward slasher flick but it was much more psychological stressful than that.

  Tackles the class issue with one highly educated academic women becoming increasingly paranoid about a working-class plumber who seems to create more problems in the bathroom than he fixes, while becoming more and more fixated on her and her life.

  Is he dangerous or just eccentric? Is she right to suspect him, or is she just scared by his class background? It is so easy to see how it could be either one of these things.

  Brilliant film. Tackles so much within a very lean runtime.

  I had no idea that this was a Hammer horror film right up until the end credits flashed the studio's name in big, bold, white letters, unexpectedly making this my first ever Hammer horror film, and what a film it was.
