  rewatched this again on a plane earlier this year, honestly still fucking rocks - really digged how the action isnt just fun/well choreographed but serves to highlight neo's character arc.

  also all that stuff about how the matrix is actually a trans allegory, blah blah and so on, yeah sure whatever. really it's an allegory to signing up for hustlers university and running your own dropshipping business which you actively lose money on.

  bafflingly bad film, nearly every single creative decision made in this film was the wrong one.

  dakota johnson gives the most xanned out performance of her life, though all the other performances were flat and lifeless which probably was due to poor direction. i don't think she's a great actress, she's got the worst line reading in the social network ("i just slept with sean parker???" lmao)
