  Still, an unbelievably uncomfortable movie to me. On rewatch watching it as I've aged and matured I have such a weird discomfort with the visual style, the uncomfortable conversations and pauses, and not to mention the VFX and prop work and the ever immersive sound work. Especially regarding the metaphors and themes to the fear of parenthood and post partum depression. Even as I grow older this movie has become a topic of discomfort as I watch it, and is still one of my favorite works of art by Lynch.

  This movie has a scene involving beating up and doing wrestling moves on literal children. Would be a 5/5 if the movie was just that but it'll have to live with my rating.
