Mickey 17 2025
Bong Joon Ho nailed the Terry Gilliam absurdist future hellscape really well. Collette and Ruffalo’s characters were over the top with the nonsensical cruelty, but as an avid home cook I appreciated Collette’s commitment to the sauce bit. I liked the creature design, the brotherhood between Mickeys 17 and 18, and the very thoughtful love and respect that Ho shows Nasha has had for every single Mickey.

Species 1995
This movie was legendary growing up and I didn’t see it until last night. I don’t know if I would have liked it more as a kid… there were plenty of titties, so I guess that was something back in the 90s. It doesn’t stand up to time very well, but the ensemble of characters hunting down SIL is pretty hilarious.
