A clean thriller/mystery about the effects of a murder on a small town. Although sometimes feeling disjointed due to the limited runtime of the episodes, it is still a standout miniseries carried by performances from Sophie Thatcher and Chosen Jacobs. 77/100

Coming back to this after it was snubbed for a Best Cinematography nomination. I do not know what the Academy was thinking leaving this off the list. There were serval times during the move where I found myself in awe of the beauty of some of the shots. The performances are phenomenal as every character has a clear motivation and reason for acting the way they do throughout the film. Fiennes reluctant cardinal struggling with his own faith is the highlight of the movie and the Oscar nomination for Best Actor is well deserved. 82/100

The at-the-time revolutionary use of the camera is amazing to watch and makes me a little bit upset that modern movies cannot seem to replicate the use of natural lighting as well as this one. The story itself is fascinating with all four accounts of the murder blending together to disguise the truth. Cannot wait to watch Kurosawa’s other films after watching this masterpiece. 85/100

Glen Powell is exceptional in this movie, oozing with charisma that makes you immediately like his character, even when initially portrayed as a douchebag. The chemistry that he and Daisy Edgar-Jones have is incredible and I would pay to see this movie again just to watch their interactions on screen. Not only are the performances great, but the movie itself is very fun to watch. It truly is a "summer blockbuster" in all sense of the phrase. I found myself…
