The Boy and the Heron 2023
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
For sure stronger in the first half than the second. It was almost being set up as a story about losing a loved one, and adapting to people getting over it much quicker than you are.
Mahito moving a strange new environment and just being almost forced to adapt to unfamiliar surroundings and social situations is an interesting way of framing the loss of a loved one.

The Fanatic 2019
Having watched this 52 times in as many weeks, I can safely say that this film is awful in the best way. I now pick up details that people may not, including editing errors, blenders and continuity issues both from a film making perspective and a timeline persepctive.
I am done watching this movie forever.
