Honestly this film is clearly the blueprint for psychological thrillers, so so many facsimiles of it have been made--Gone Girl for instance, but none of them come close to the mastery with which Haneke made Caché, how he manages to make a film this long so riveting without it bordering on superfluity is beyond me. I feel like the score/musical aspect of the film was a plot line in and of itself, I love how the story just gradually unraveled with the music, but it wasn't as moving as I expected it to be, there were some scenes that felt a bit out of place.
