  A few thoughts:
  1. Caleb and I are starting a rec baseball league, if you’re reading this you’re playing. Conscripted. 
  2. Amazing needle drop ending with Tom Waits Ol 55. 
  3. Fucking visceral depiction of autumn, even beyond the coloring of the leaves. I can feel the dampness of the grass and woods as the film and day progress. 
  4. Even though the eephus pitch itself only makes a few nondescript appearances, the filmmakers did a stupendous job crafting the movie itself like an eephus, almost maddeningly slow despite its hour thirty run time (I mean this in a positive way if you can believe it)

  Paul Newman and Robert Redford you beautiful bastards. An instant favorite. So far up my fucking alley it’d get mugged in 1930s Chicago.
