Usually the second movies in franchises are worse than the first but in this case, in my opinion, this movie beats the first one (Suicide Room) by a mile. While the story itself wouldn't be too interesting for the majority I found it very captivating. I love the small detail of how the main character doesn't care much for the harm he causes because he's just a young guy trying to get by (right?) and he himself doesn't truly believe…

I Killed My Mother 2009
Knowing how young Xavier Dolan was when he directed and wrote this movie puts so much into perspective and makes me appreciate this movie even more. If you took away every bit of dialogue from the movie, you'd still be left with amazing cinematography and a story being told. It's truly amazing and I cannot put into words how much it has inspired me as an artist. It's not a no-brainer movie you watch with your family on a takeaway…
