  i try not to compare these types of quiet family dramas to Kore-eda's but I can't help it. it just didn't quite hit that sweet spot for me.

  i didn't find any of the character's likeable really, maybe that's why. not a bad film though, shed a few tears at the end.

  couldn't find anyone to introduce this film to so here i am alone in my room again.

  Choi Min-sik's acting was amazing but gotta say Yoo Ji-tae's character just captivates me, especially towards the end. coupled in with the cinematography, that whole sequence in the penthouse & elevator is *chefs kiss*.

  soundtrack and cinematography is just too damn good.

  yeah idk just damn. jaw was on the floor first time i watched it. wish i could experience that again.

  the opening was sickkkk, it gripped me right away + SNOW.

  Nic Cage is unrecognizable, creepy acting, loved it.
  the atmopshere is so so good.

  WERONIKA REFERENCE?? (i spotted my date of birth in the film)

  spoilers below sorta?
  HOWEVER (if you know me you could see this coming)

  the eerie atmosphere died down for me when the possession stuff was introduced at the end.

  i find realistic serial killer stuff more creepy rather than "ooo the devil made them do it". it just sorta dulls down the Longlegs character for me and makes him feel less creepy.

  still a good watch tho, really liked the characters.
