  Everyone is comparing this to "The Worst Person in the World", which is weird, as the only thing that these two have in common is the fact that both are norwegian.   Really mixed feelings about this one. A very strong piece both visually and narratively, but the protagonist is mentally challenged in order to make the story function. When asked about this during q&a the director simply responded that the character came to him  as inspiration and didn’t give any further reasons.
