tldr; a trans woman felt moved by the movie about the hardships trans women experience.
no but seriously, my life is no where near the level of brutality and roughness the women and queer people in this movie experience, but the feelings of dehumanization they faced and their persistence in spite of that made me feel very connected to the trans experience. It’s really horrible to think most of the monumental pillars of queer history featured in this aren’t around anymore, but having it cemented in film is the next best thing.
