  As we got to the end credits of this I had a strong pang to watch End of Evangelion for some reason.

  At the same time my partner exclaimed 'you love this kind of cyclical film don't you?' - identifying a common theme between our recent watches (Inside Llewyn Davies) and what I was feeling a pang for 🤔

  I was shocked at how a film could immediately establish such an emotional connection to characters, to the extent of real fear and happiness when seeing their journey.
  You care for this child, and understand that he is in a world that is entirely foreign from the care of a 'mother'.
