I watched this incredible movie and somehow came out rather annoyed at myself. I couldn't help but think of Newcastle United's Eddie Howe, who made his own Faustian bargain, the device of which derives from poor old Faust and his unfortunate run in with Mephistopheles, or Mephisto. Now, if an auteur-driven dramatization was committed to film, I'd watch the socks off it. I can imagine there was midnight visit paid to Howe in the upstairs of a Bournemouth inn, where…
