The Last Waltz 1978
Watched this at too young an age to truly appreciate it or the music of its primary subjects, but even if you’re not a fan of The Band, there’s no reasonable claim to be made that this isn’t a masterpiece of a concert film.
Probably the most stacked guest list featured in any major concert film paired with a set list that spans The Band’s entire catalogue up to that point, from their rowdiest barn burners to their most heart-wrenching…

Riff Raff 2024
Gets off to a bit of a rough start but it grew on me pretty quickly. Not reinventing the wheel or anything but the last 3 quarters are very reliably funny. Cast is solid af even with the somewhat lackluster script they were provided with.
Though I am pretty sure I purchased tickets to a private screening or something because every time the writer’s name came up onscreen the crowd erupted and looked towards the back of the theater longingly.
Anyways, definitely a memorable experience.

Nosferatu 2024
Robert Eggers might be the most consistent director currently working in the horror genre. Being prolific is one thing but sustaining undeniable results with every single release is a bafflingly rare achievement. I’m happy to report that Nosferatu does not deviate from his usual quality standards whatsoever.
A banger through and through.Translated from by
