  I’m glad this was a limited series… I managed to get to the end but kind of wish I had my time back.

  The trailers made this seem more Thriller than it actually was. It’s a political drama with a story that you’d think the stakes were high but everyone seemed laid back and bored. The lack of any feeling of threat or tension was bizarre leading to no emotional connection to any of the characters.

  Monster Hunter: Legends of the Guild 2021

  Playing through MH:Wilds bought me here. It’s a nice tie in/prequel to MH World Series. A short self contained story set in the MH Universe with all the colourful elements and locations from the game. 

  The animation looked a little dated but my biggest gripe was how the movie felt like it was to appeal to a younger audience. While MH isn’t by any means an ‘adult’ game series. The games are rated 16+ so making the movie dumbed down in certain scenes felt weird and lacking. 

  However it does capture the essence of the game and ‘the hunt’ really well.

  The Platform 2 2024

  I went in with low expectations after hearing other reviews previously. That may explain why I actually quite enjoyed it.

   The Platform 2 is pretty much a single location setting with constant tension building leading to expected violence. It doesn’t really do anything to add or explain the story. 

  Contrary to popular opinion I actually enjoyed this one more than the first movie. It just didn’t add anything… it’s a concept with no substance.
