  Great for lovers of any and all references. Of its genre it’s one of the better made. Not a bad answer from Spielberg to the Marvelisation of contemporary cinema going.

  Cinema in its purest form. For me, you can’t get much better than a vampire-hunting samurai who’s half-vampire himself. Exquisite. 

  Guillermo Del Toro was such a great fit for this franchise.

  Simultaneously so funny yet so sad at the time - new for me. 

  Unfortunately I watched this whole thing without English subtitles (not available) so missed huge parts of dialogue when they were speaking in Russian (which is a lot). 

  The fact this opens with a Take That remix - not the only time you hear it - and bare chested women dancing. It had me like Leo DiCaprio clicking my fingers at the tele from Once Upon a Time…

  It wasn’t as bad as people are making out. It did seem like it was just an advert for his daughter though ngl (who was great btw). 

  Josh Hartnett did well switching between personalities.

  Kid Cudi’s cameo is the sluttiest thing I’ve ever seen.
