  Didn’t love it, but I liked it. I think my expectations were way too high from all the hype. Cynthia Arivo is extremely talented but this version of Elphaba lacks the intense personality she had in the stage play. She is calmer, softer, way more serious and less expressive.   Honestly the biggest thing I take away from this movie is that Pixar is trying news things. They are trying a new art style, new story structure, taking new creative liberties. No matter how good or bad the movie is, it’s very refreshing. And it gives me hope that Pixar will branch out further.
