It may be B-grade and the performances of the two villains a tad theatrical but superior direction and photography help this piece of gratuitous violence maintain a level of tension many big-budget thrillers could only dream of.

Aspiring political sleaze Larry has just finished bonking his assistant while watching himself on tv when he realises he is being filmed, by a cameraman only he can see, a cameraman who can't be touched and magically jumps to a different vantage at will. In other words, this cameraman is the one filming the movie we're watching. As Larry's life spirals out of control his personal 'movie' becomes increasingly cinematic, until his only means of escape is to try to contrive his own perfect Hollywood ending.
