  I don't really know what to think of this movie. It was a great spectacle with everything I want in a sci-fi movie. However, the lack of character development made me question it. The characters don't do anything memorable other than their introduction. It feels like its only a set-up for part 2, and doesn't really work as a singular experience. Fortunately the second part will be available in April!

  The Descent: Part 2 2009

  This wasn't as good as the original, but still very enjoyable. In the first film we don't know yet what's to come. This time around we do and maybe that is even scarier. Part 2 has lots more gore and is more of a monster movie than the original. Overall, it's more of a mainstream Americain horror movie.
